Immaculate 1965 VOLVO 122s

I have decided to sell one of my favourite cars, my 1965 122S 2 Door. This car is probably the best of its model available in Australia today, and, probably one of the best in the world.

LET ME EXPLAIN WHY

When I bought this car in 1998 it had travelled less than 60,000 miles. The interior was virtually as new, as the mats, as well as the boot mat, had three layers of carpet covering them. The spare tyre, an original B F Goodrich, is still unused.

The only thing wrong with the car was that the previous owner had lavished too much love and care on  it and had polished the car so many times that large areas of the paint work was worn through to the undercoat.

They had also removed both the grilles and wrapped them in cloth and kept them in the boot. They did not want them to get marked by gravel flicked up by cars travelling in front. I dismantled the car and had it repainted by someone whom I consider to be one of the best painters in Australia, at a cost of $10,000.00. The colour match is a perfect '46' RED.

I upgraded the Camshaft and Air Cleaners to 123GT specifications. It is an absolute delight to drive and spectacular to look at. The odometer reads just over 64,000 miles. The service and Instruction Books are up to date and will verify that figure.

The car has never had an accident in its life and there has never been any rust in the body anywhere.

I have replaced the Door Seals and all Rubber Gaskets on the front and rear lights and the boot seal.

I don't have time to drive all my old Volvos and they should be driven as often as possible, therefore this car would suit an enthusiastic classic Volvo fanatic, who doesn't have the time or a spare $50 to $60,000 to restore a car to this standard and can just get into the 122 and enjoy it.

I am hoping someone in Australia will buy this car as we no longer have many of this model left, but if an overseas buyer wants it, I know they will be extremely happy with their purchase.
